El Nido Resorts Pangulasian Island is an eco-friendly haven inspired by contemporary Filipino architecture. Stay in one of our 42 traditional wooden villas that blend into the tropical landscape. We purposefully limited the number of villas and set them well apart from each other so it feels like you have the resort mainly to yourself. Our star feature is the white-sand beach where you can enjoy amazing sunrise and sunset views – Pangulasian is known as the island of the sun, after all.
Guests really love lounging on the beach, especially since many of our villas open directly onto the sand. The waters here in the Bacuit Bay are a protected marine sanctuary so there’s plenty of colourful fish and coral to see. Don’t miss our early morning snorkeling tour for a chance to spot the shy, black tip reef sharks who frequently visit our shores. You might also catch a glimpse of monkeys, water monitor lizards and the Palawan hornbill with its long, white beak in the surrounding forests.
We pride ourselves on providing modern luxury for guests, including an infinity pool and spa, watersports, a library and gym. Have cocktails by our poolside bar before dinner at Amianan Restaurant, where you can try fresh Palawan seafood. I’d recommend visiting our eco-lounge too, where guides can tell you about the low-impact activities we offer. These include our island-hopping trips to the Big Lagoon and Cudugnon Cave, as well as Mangrove tours and private sunset cruises.
The resort has many eco-friendly features, as we’re passionate about protecting this area of natural beauty. We have a cutting-edge waste water treatment system, a single-use plastic ban and even a desalination water plant so we’re not competing with local villages for fresh water. Most of our staff belong to the local Bebeladan and Kiminawit communities and every month, we provide them with environmental training so we can all work together to protect the landscape.
Your journey will start with one of our UK team – someone like Suzanne, who's travelled extensively in The Philippines. They’ll shape your ideas into the trip of a lifetime. But they won't do it alone. They'll draw on the expertise of our contacts on the ground, connecting you to the people who'll make your holiday one you'll always remember – the free diver who can take you swimming with turtles, the guides who can take you to secret lagoons and hidden beaches, and the locals who can school you in the art of nipa weaving.
