Taj Green Cove is a one-of-a-kind resort in Kovalam, offering Balinese-style cottages and a blend of all the things Kerala is famous for: nature, backwaters and the sea. Our architectural team wanted to create something completely different that would stand out in Kovalam, so they built thatched-roof cottages set on terraces that resemble the iconic rice fields of Bali. Many have sea views and all have wooden furniture, with stone sculpture gardens in the bathrooms.
Spread over 16 acres of thick tropical gardens, we’re set behind a lagoon and a kilometre-long stretch of beach. In between, there’s a strip of land that’s home to our seafood speciality restaurant Bait, which is loved for its red snapper on mango, fresh catch of the day and oven-baked pizza. At sunset, we have a high tea here on the lawn with Keralan drinks and snacks so you can watch the sun go down over the water, often with kite flying. We’re passionate about preserving the area’s natural beauty and like to give back to the local community by working with the government and NGOs on education and flood relief programmes.

A highlight of their stay is our complimentary boat ride with a local fisherman, who guides you through the serene backwaters. In terms of wellness, we have a Jiva and Ayurvedic spa complete with a Naturopathy doctor who can craft you an individual wellness plan on request. Guests often leave comments about our staff too, who are the heroes here and offer warm service that’s typical of Kovalam.
