Your suggested itinerary
Day 1 – 2 Delhi
Arrive in Delhi where you’ll overnight in a family-run B&B. There’s every reason to explore the city with a number of exciting optional experiences whether you choose a guided rickshaw ride around the thrumming streets or a foodie experience diving deep into the heart of the local cuisine. Overnight at Colonel’s Retreat.
Day 3 – 4 Jaipur
A transfer will take you to the pink city of Jaipur home to the splendid Amber Fort and famous rose-tinted architecture. A city tour is included in your trip and there are plenty of optional experiences available too. Stay in a haveli-style hotel with hosts who welcome diners on their rooftop terrace and have been known to invite guests to yoga sessions in the park. Overnight at Ikaki Niwas.
Day 5 – 6 Agra
Travel to Agra to see the Taj Mahal, India’s star attraction. While most visit the Taj Mahal in the late morning, you’ll visit (included) at the quieter time of sunrise when its white marble walls and decorative inlay are particularly spellbinding in the early morning light. For the rest of your stay, there are cultural experiences and activities available as options to keep you entertained. Stay in a colourful guest house for extra insight into the city. Overnight at The Coral Tree.
Day 7 Delhi
Return to Delhi for the night where you’ll have time to relax before your onward journey. Perhaps this time around you’ll choose to do a guided night tour of one of Old Delhi’s oldest and busiest markets, or a photography class with a local expert. Overnight at Colonel’s Retreat.
Day 8 – 14 Maldives
Transfer to the airport for your flight to the Maldives. The next leg is a speedboat ride atop glistening blue water to your castaway hotel on the North Ari atoll. Unwind on creamy sandbanks that trail into the sea and enjoy snorkelling straight from the beach out in the house reef. Your hotel is a laid-back Maldivian-style resort where you can dine under thatch roofs and request massages beside the sea. Book a Beach Villa and receive a complimentary upgrade to a Beach Bungalow or above. Overnight at Kuramathi Maldives.
Day 15 Maldives and Departure
Admire the scenic journey on the way back to the airport in time for your international flight home.
