Check-In - A breeze. Didn’t have to wait. Annie checked me in and she stood out as having seriously impeccable customer service skills. I had arrived a day early and made another reservation and was quickly checked into my room. The second day I had to move and my room was ready around 10.30am and I moved in quickly. First night I stayed in a Darling Harbour Room. It had a lovely view of the harbour. It was quiet and the bed was seriously comfortable! One of the best beds I’ve ever slept in. The room was spotless and had great air conditioning. Amenities were great. A+ there’s nothing they could have done to make things better. The second night I stayed in a Grand Premier Sydney Harbour Room. THIS IS THE ONE TO BOOK !!! If you’re in Sydney, spend the extra money and book this room!! Easily the best hotel room in Sydney. The views are just breathtaking! There is a bar and restaurant (that does afternoon tea) at the top of the hotel, but (if you book this room) you basically get the same views from the comfort of your bed !!! Seriously !!! The cool thing about this room is that you can sit by the windows for hours and watch the sun go and the lights come on over the harbour. It’s a magical experience. Breakfast - Amazing! Everything you could want. For the moment I walked in the door I was greeted, and quickly shown to a table (by a friendly member of staff who explained everything). I had eggs and bacon and they custom made the eggs to perfection! They also had a gluten free area for toast and snacks which was very much appreciated. Pool & Gym - Immaculately clean pool. - Top gym equipment (Rogue Echo bike and Concept 2 rowers), with reasonably good weightlifting equipment. Staff - I’m a customer service guy and have stayed in hotels all over the world. The staff here seem to be happy, customer focused and courteous. Everywhere I went, I was greeted with a hello and a smile. And not one of those “fake hellos” either! They wanted to know if everything was ok. It didn’t matter if I met the cleaners in the lift, the guys at the front door, the people in the foyer - all of them were excellent. That speaks to hiring the right people and training. I know in this industry it’s hard to find good people and a challenge the keep them. That’s a credit to the hotel management. Location - Walking distance to Central Station, Circular Quay, Opera House, the Rocks. It’s the perfect spot. Finally…. the reason for my travel was that it was my birthday. I decided at the last minute to treat myself to a couple of days in Sydney. I was so surprised to see that the hotel has sent me a card and some food to celebrate this special occasion. It was most unexpected and such a thoughtful thing to do. So thank you 🙏. Let’s put this all into perspective. I believe the “test” of a good hotel comes down to one simple question… - “Would you want your mum staying here?” The answer is absolutely! I haven’t been to Sydney since I lived here 15 years ago. When I come back again, I’ll definitely be staying here. No question. If you’re looking for a luxury hotel in Sydney, you’ve found the place ! Stay here as long as you can. You’ll love it.

The BEST views of the Sydney Harbor and Opera house. Our travel agent helped pick the right rooms for our family so we had the view of New Year’s Eve fireworks. Hotel location also very central. Check in was very crowded but this was to be expected. Front desk employees and bellmen handled the crushing number of people amazingly. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Amenities very nice and hotel management very generous with daily turndown goodies. Not super luxury but nice enough. Breakfast was a zoo. Room service was excellent.
