Finch Hattons

A luxury safari experience

Named after the English aristocrat and adventurer, Finch Hattons combines the elegance of safaris of old with modern luxury.

Surrounded by lush wilderness, with views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the Chyulu Hills, this luxury tented camp has won multiple awards for its ‘wild luxury’ design. A natural spring is home to a resident pod of hippos and crocodiles as well as various birdlife. The camp is unfenced, so there’s always the delight of not knowing which animal may stray into the grounds. An observation deck provides a wonderful daytime vantage point to spot wildlife, and by night a tranquil terrace for stargazing. Finch Hattons has some impressive facilities for such an intimate camp, like the spa and wellness centre, complete with yoga pavilion deck, spa pool, hammam and gym. There’s also an infinity pool to relax in between safari activities.

Why we love Finch Hattons

  • Lush spring-fed surroundings with views of Mount Kilimanjaro

  • Tsavo is Kenya’s oldest and largest national park and one of the few places where you may see endangered wild dogs

  • Chyulu Spa has a yoga pavilion deck and infinity pool

  • The camp is unfenced, so wildlife is free to roam in and out, with animals visiting the springs to drink and bathe
