This modern resort is located at the southern end of 'Rwanda's Riviera' and at the start of the Nile Trail
You’ll feel the holiday spirit the moment you step into Mantis Kivu Marina Bay’s soaring, light-filled lobby atrium with its clean-cut seating in a playful palette of dusty rose, ocean blue and buttercup yellow. It's a great spot for relaxation between chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe Forest and gorilla trekking in Virunga Volcanoes National Park.
Facilities include a well-equipped fitness centre, sauna, steam room and a spacious swimming pool with views over the lake and the islands beyond. There’s even a small boutique that stocks a carefully curated selection of Made in Rwanda products, from clothing to artwork.

La Vue is the main restaurant with a choice of buffet or à la carte dishes.
Massages can be arranged and there is a sauna, steam room and gym.
Only accessible by boat, you can visit a coffee processing project to see the roasting and do tastings. Take a boat trip to Nkombo Island, join a walking tour through Ruzizi, go bird watching along the shoreline of the lake or learn about the local cuisine with a cooking class.
Kayaking and paddleboarding on Lake Kivu can be arranged.
There's an onsite kitchen garden and they support an organic community garden. Grass cuttings are donated to a neighbouring farm to feed their livestock.
