The beautiful Frangipani Spa is a tranquil sanctuary, designed to stimulate the senses and allow guests to experience a complete relaxation of body and mind. In a beautiful setting, it reflects a sophisticated Swahili style enhanced with candlelight and spice scented aromas. The highest quality natural skin care products are utilised in all treatments, as well as a selection of local spiced essential oils.

To give guests a taste of Zanzibar culture, they have a Swahili school where they teach the language and history of the island, as well as traditional palm weaving.

Rising Sun Dive Centre is the only PADI five star Gold Palm and National Geographic Dive Centre in Zanzibar. Located on the untouched Southeast coast of the island, every level of diver is welcome, from complete beginners up to professional level. Groups are small, with a maximum of six divers per guide.

A coral reef faces the shore for snorkelling straight from the beach and there’s kitesurfing, sailing and paddleboarding from the excellent Water Club Centre on the beachfront.

The resort is environmentally aware, with solar power, a desalination plant and modern recycling methods. They also provide opportunities for locals through tourism jobs and training, as well as putting money back into the community. They've also built a school and maternity clinic.
