Travel Kuoni

 Bluebay Beach Resort & Spa

Zanzibar's tropical paradise

This charming beachfront resort is a favourite with Kuoni guests.

Nestled in 30 acres of tropical gardens on unblemished Zanzibar coast, the main appeal of this remote escape is the promise of far-flung downtime with squeaky white sand sinking underfoot. After days on the mainland, swap the safari for snorkelling and scuba diving in the sparkling Indian Ocean or equally relax under thatch or the shade of a palm. Interiors incorporate Moorish doorways, exposed wood beams and large ceramic pots, the backdrop to a barefoot vibe made considerably special with genuinely thoughtful service.

When relaxing, the casual beach restaurant and sea-facing swimming pool means you rarely need to budge. Dinner is accompanied by a live band and sometimes Swahili dancers and even acrobatic performances.

Why we love Bluebay Beach Resort & Spa

  • Bluebay’s beautiful tropical 30-acres of gardens house over 1000 palm trees

  • The resort has a dive centre on site giving easy access to the island's coral reef gardens

  • The Makuti Restaurant's themed evenings showcase a range of  international flavours

  • Each night there’s entertainment ranging from Swahili dancers to acrobats and live music from the resort’s resident band
