Down at the beach you can see traditional dhows sailing across the Indian Ocean and enjoy watersports including snorkelling, stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking.
They are proud to have received EarthCheck’s Sustainable Design Gold Certification and have their own desalination plant to produce clean water, which they bottle. They have an energy-efficient cooling system and work with Zanzibar companies to source eco-friendly products for their toiletries. They also give back to the community through various initiatives and support vocational training in Kendwa village by hiring locals – especially women.
