Bumi Hills Safari Lodge

A secluded lakeside haven

This luxury safari camp sits secluded high in the hills overlooking Lake Kariba.

Overlooking the waters of Lake Kariba and with a backdrop of the Zambezi escarpment, Bumi Hills Safari Lodge has a picture-postcard setting. It's in a prime private wildlife conservation area and close to Matusadona National Park where wildlife roams freely to the shores of the lake.

The lodge offers land and water-based activities to bring you closer to nature. Game drives, nature walks and boating safaris will go in search of buffalo, leopard, lion, antelope and elephant. Sunrise and sunset cruises are the perfect way to start and end your day of exploration. Catch and release fishing for tilapia and tiger fish on Lake Kariba can also be arranged. Between the safari activities there is time to relax and absorb the lake views from the infinity pool or to take a treatment at the spa. While the lodge certainly indulges, it's the lake that takes centre stage here. Here, the famous Kariba sunsets are something quite special; this is when the lake comes alive, unapologetically erupting into a blaze of radiant colour.
