We stayed at the Zabeel Saray for 10 nights. We booked a sea view room and were delighted to have one with an excellent view of The Palm, sea and pool. Arriving at the hotel, the reception area is glamorous and vast. Absolutely stunning. High standard of cleanliness in our room and across the hotel and its grounds. Our requests for additional hangers/water were answered promptly. The pool was great. There were so many lifeguards around the pool working long shifts on their feet. They were alert and prepared for anything and deserve a lot of credit. There are a number of restaurants and the buffet breakfast in the morning was in the largest. The buffet was well stocked, high quality, with genuinely something for everyone. The outside seating in the morning was always busy, but thoroughly enjoyable. The half board dine around option is excellent, as there were so many different places to eat. The spa is unforgettable and rightfully receives awards for its facilities and treatments. I had a couple of massages which were excellent: thank you Sarah and Munia. The hammam was incredible too. The vast majority of staff working across the hotel were professional, helpful and friendly. Special mention to Lilik at breakfast who was so friendly and upbeat, in addition to being an excellent server. What would have made me give five stars to this beautiful hotel? 1. The toilet and changing facilities for the pool/beach were disappointing and not up to standard for such a luxurious hotel. They are underground, under the pool, so there was a fair amount of leaking and cracks in the ceiling. The smell was often unpleasant, despite a number of cleaning attendants standing in the hallway. The steps down to the facilities were slippery (marble) with no grip and obviously very wet given they’re for the pool. They were simply unusable for anyone with mobility issues or loathe slippery stairs. If you do brave it, the facilities were unpleasant. 2. Patchy and inaccurate information about availability in the hotel’s restaurants via the WhatsApp butler service. We requested a reservation at the Japanese restaurant (which was outstanding), but were told there wasn’t any availability. Having seen a number of the restaurants with loads of capacity during our stay, I went to the restaurant itself and was able to book with them directly for the time requested. There were only four tables taken, so plenty of room. If it’s system error, it should be fixed ASAP. 3. I thinks others have mentioned that there are a few scuffs across the hotel, from the room (bathroom primarily) to the outside lounge areas. Again, these were not becoming of a five star hotel in Dubai, especially when there is so much competition. All could be easily rectified. Details matter. Nonetheless, we had a great stay at the Zabeel Saray and none of those issues spoiled out stay.

We have just came back from a brilliant stay at this hotel. My son has a few food allergies so I find staying in a hotel abroad really anxiety inducing. I am blown away by how seriously every single member of staff handled his allergies and went above and beyond to make sure that he was catered for. The hotel manager added me to a WhatsApp group with all the restaurant managers so everyone was aware of my son’s allergies and I could book restaurants and food requests through the chat. a special shout out to Marwan, Kannan and Abhnav who put me at ease every meal time. We can’t wait to come back next year!
