Hopping between Vietnam's more modern cities like Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, the historical sites of Hue and the emerald green waters of Halong Bay, you'll get to tick off all the main sights of Vietnam.

Days 1 & 2
Ho Chi Minh City
Startoff your trip in Vietnam's largest city that hosts a cityscape that perfectlyblends old and new Vietnam in vibrant style. This cosmopolitan metropolisserves up a sensory overload; the buzzing sounds of scooters moving through thetraffic, inviting aromas of street food vendors and colourful market stalls, itwill truly be an eye-opening experience. For a slower pace of life, you canvisit some temples and pagodas which hold the key to Vietnam's heritage. Ho ChiMinh City is the gateway to the mighty Mekong Delta, the most fertile region inthe country and the main producer of rice and tropical fruits. Hop on board asmall boat and navigate the narrow canals to see how the locals go about theirdaily life. Stay at Caravelle Saigon.

Days 3-5
Hue
Acity that is maybe not as well-known as other cities like Hanoi or Hoi An, Hueinvites you to embark on a journey of Vietnam's rich history. The formerimperial capital of the Nguyen Dynasty is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Seton the Perfume River, a ride on the colourful dragon boat is a must-doexperience (optional experience). The Perfume River flows through the heart ofthe city and will not only give you an insight into the natural wonders of thecity, but you'll get a sense of the cultural heritage that this city holds.There are plenty of historical sites to explore, with Hue Citadel, Thien MuPagoda and the tombs of former emperors being just a few of the most famousones. After learning some historical facts, the children can get a bit morehands on with activities at the hotel with Vietnamese hat and dress making oreven try some traditional cooking classes if you are travelling with teens thatwant to expand their cooking skills. Days 6-9
Danang
Enjoysome beach days in Danang, home to 18 miles of pristine coastline. Parents cansit back and relax on the white-sandy beaches whilst the younger ones can getinvolved in more adrenaline pumping water activities. Explore further afieldand visit two of Vietnam's eccentric attractions: the five outcrops of MarbleMountain and the Instagram worthy sights of the Golden Bridge in Ba Na Hillsresort. Danang is also the perfect base for exploring nearby Hoi An, a smallriverside town halfway down the country's east coast. In the lantern-festoonedlanes of Hoi An’s UNESCO-listed Old Town, it’s as if time has stood still. Oncea prosperous trading port, the cosmopolitan past lives are still present in theshape of a thousand or so carved, tiled and shuttered Vietnamese wooden houses,ornate Chinese temples and a 400-year-old Japanese bridge. Days 10 & 11
Hanoi
Nextup is the endearing capital city of Hanoi, a chaotic city which can feelfrenetic at times but it's all part of its charm. Looking past the hustle and bustle, you canpeel back the layers and discover the ancient streets that were named after thecrafts that have been made by locals for decades. The best way to experiencethe city is through its street food, with inviting smells tempting you aroundevery corner. The longer you wander the hidden alleyways, the more quirkierspots you'll discover. You can put your own culinary skills to the test in atraditional Vietnamese cooking class at KOTO restaurant. KOTO does incrediblework within the community providing hospitality training for local street kids.You'll collect all the fresh ingredients from the local market and workalongside a current trainee at the restaurant, giving you time to learn moreabout their story, before tucking into your culinary creations. Day 12
Halong Bay
Themystical natural wonder of Halong Bay is on many peoples' bucket lists whenvisiting Vietnam. Hop onboard the traditional junk boat, Bhaya Premium Cruise,for one night and set sail on the emerald green waters. Marvel at the ruggedlimestone islands that are engulfed in luscious greenery, it truly is pictureperfect. With just three to seven cabins, these smaller boats are perfect for amore personal service experience. Day 1 on the boat, you'll have theopportunity to go kayaking or you can opt to relax on a private beach.Following dinner, you can try your hand at squid fishing, using age-oldtechniques. Then on day 2, you'll visit Sung Sot Cave, the largest of the manycaves and you can get more of an up-close look at the stalactites andstalagmites in the limestone rock.

Day 13 & 14
Hanoi
Headback to Hanoi for one night (stay at Melia Hanoi) and take the opportunity tosample the wonderful flavours at your favourite street-side joint for one lasttime. Private transfer to airport for onward travel.
