We stayed four nights at the Savoy having stayed there many times before. The location suits us. We felt this time the Savoy has slipped back a bit. Despite the very best efforts of the man in the apron behind the bar, service in Alexanders was painfully slow. We went to a wedding on the Saturday, returned to our room that night to find it had not been serviced, picked up the wet towels off the floor and used them again as we did on Sunday morning. OK we could have contacted reception and got this sorted, when you are paying why should you have to.. Someone has their eye off the ball.

Bradd and the staff made us very welcome when we arrived late for our 1 night stay. There was a mix up with the booking/computer but it was quickly sorted. All staff were very friendly. Breakfast the next morning was very welcome and very impressive. We had just completed a multi day walk and a 3 hour train trip to arrive late into Melbourne. We were very impressed with the room, the food and the staff as well as close proximity to Stan Cross and city centre.

Great Hotel, access to the whole of CBD from the Hotel. Easy access to the Country and Interstate rail system. Staff were very approachable and happy to assist. Facilities were very clean and tidy, the room was certainly large enough with little outside noise. The breakfast was excellent.
