Galley Bay Resort & Spa

Grown-up and graceful

An intimate and charming adults-only hideaway tucked away between 40-acre tropical gardens and a secluded beach.

One of the first things you’ll notice about this welcoming resort is the sheer tranquillity. Cross the bridge over the lagoon, listen to the cascading waterfall by the redesigned pool or find a private spot on the three-quarter-mile-long beach. A scattering of rocking chairs on the boardwalk are perfect for sitting and gazing out over the ocean at sunset with a cocktail in hand, while the saltwater lagoon is a scenic spot to watch herons, pelicans and frigate birds diving for their dinner.

Why we love Galley Bay Resort & Spa

  • It’s in 40-acre tropical gardens on a ¾-mile-long beach beside a saltwater lagoon that teems with incredible birdlife

  • You can sign up for the resort’s ‘Turtle Watch’ to receive a call during the night if turtles are spotted on the beach

  • Its three restaurants cater to every mood from candlelit dinners under private thatched cabanas to beachside barbecues

  • It’s a great all-inclusive offering that encompasses not just meals and drinks, but also bicycles and watersports with lessons

There are three restaurants with al fresco à la carte dining and ocean views. The casual Barefoot Grill serves snacks and light lunches, while Sea Grape has beautiful bay views and a weekly barbecue with a steel-drum band. Head to Gauguin Restaurant for candlelit dinners under private thatched cabanas and the fresh catch of the day. Choose from a selection of open-air bars and try the Rum Shack, head to Ismay’s, the fine-dining restaurant (supplement applies) and enjoy low-key entertainment.

Sea Grape
A wonderful beachside setting for lunch and dinner with salads from the resort’s garden and catch of the day straight from the sea. Once a week there is a Caribbean barbecue accompanied by a steel band.

Gaugin
Inspired by the artist Gaugin, enjoy colourful Caribbean cuisine and tasty curries. Private cabanas are available on the beach for a romantic dinner or a special occasion celebration.

Ismay’s
Head to Ismay’s for a fine dining experience. Expect candle-lit tables complete with crisp white linen. Arrive in time to see the setting sun over the sea before choosing from the meat, seafood and vegetarian dishes. Perfect for sharing, make sure you save room for Ismay’s famous baked Alaska.

Barefoot Grill
Enjoy a long and lazy lunch at Barefoot Grill located on the beach. On the menu you’ll find classic burgers, salads and Cajun fish of the day.

Bars and Lounges
There are four open-air bars and lounges serving afternoon tea, rum punches and evening cocktails.

Coffee Shop
Dip into a book whilst enjoying a freshly brewed coffee and tasty pastry in the resort's Coffee Shop.
