Inspired by a cenote, we love the cave-like setting of the underground Larimar Spa. Spread over two floors, there are 18 rooms for massages, a hydrotherapy circuit and a dreamy outdoor lagoon. It’s also the first spa in the Dominican Republic to have a Himalayan Salt Lounge.
There’s plenty of daily activities from dance classes to virtual reality experiences. Musicians and dancers provide the entertainment in the outdoor amphitheatre.
There’s a wonderful stretch of beach here where you can try non-motorised watersports.

When it comes to where to sleep, we recommend any of the One Bedroom Suites as they have two separate rooms – one living room with a sofa bed and the master bedroom.
