An intimate boutique hotel on Negril’s famous Seven Mile Beach
Luxury seeps through every corner of this boutique stay. It may be small but it certainly packs a punch with a cool contemporary décor and authentic Jamaican flair. Equal parts secluded and convenient, you’re just a hop, skip and a jump from the restaurants and bars of Negril’s ‘Hip Strip’ despite feeling a million miles away. The hotel’s location on Seven Mile beach, one of Jamaica’s most famous stretches, is definitely a selling point. Just like the name suggests, there’s seven miles of pure powdery white sands and shallow turquoise waters almost within touching distance of the hotel reception. Its picturesque setting contributes to its popularity with weddings but with a pool, gym and plenty of attractions nearby, it’s great for families too.

Conveniently located near to Negril’s ‘Hip Strip’, you’re close to a wide range of bars and restaurants. That’s if you can bring yourself to leave the hotel.

Jamaican flair flows through the hotel’s 33 rooms and suites. Bright pops of colour correlate with the Jamaican landscape whilst rich wooden details bring in the traditional charm. When choosing a room, you’ll have a choice of two views – the shimmering waters of the Caribbean Sea or the tropical gardens – both as beautiful as each other. For a special stay, our favourite room has to be the Deluxe Ocean Front with its wrap around balcony and beach views. Sleeping up to three guests, it’s perfect for small families, too.

Facilities
The choice is in your hands when it comes to dining at Sandy Haven. You can opt for bed and breakfast, where you can enjoy a continental style experience whilst having the rest of your meals elsewhere. If you prefer having everything sorted, opt for the all-inclusive for breakfast, lunch and dinner on site. Bongo’s is the hotel’s award-winning fine dining restaurant, serving up both traditional and international fare, along with vegan and gluten free options too. In Bongo’s you’ll also find the Piano Bar, creating an atmosphere whilst you eat. If on-the-sand dining is more your thing, Almond Tree Grill offers a more casual alternative. You can also opt for the Dine Around All-Inclusive, an option that’s inclusive of local restaurants too.

Step foot in the Sandy Haven Resort Spa for a morning or afternoon of indulgence. Focusing on holistic health benefits and natural ingredients, you can undergo a selection of luxurious treatments, from massages to facials and herbal scrubs. Personalised treatments are also available. There’s also a gym on site – perfect for those pre-breakfast workouts or just when you want to cool off from the heat.
Although Seven-Mile beach is comparable to a pool with its shallow blue waters, a swimming pool is always a nice addition on site. Set back from the beach, it’s the perfect place to pull up a lounger and enjoy some tranquillity or cool off from the Jamaican sunshine. Tucked away besides the pool, you’ll also find a jacuzzi for relaxing your muscles after a day of exploring. For watersports, the beach is the place to be with a range of activities such as snorkelling and parasailing on offer.
