Sardinian design overlooking the turquoise-rimmed Costa Smeralda.
Tucked away among Mediterranean foliage, this hidden gem sits above a bay on the Costa Smeralda where the blue-on-blue vistas are best taken in from the outdoor pool. With a dusky pink-tinged façade and terracotta-tiled roof, L’Ea Bianca Luxury Resort nods to traditional Sardinian design, updated with a dose of modern luxury including an excellent spa, refined dining and private stretch of beach. This resort is all about slipping down a few gears. While away the hours stretched out on Cala dei Ginepri, rising only to dip into the bathwater-warm bay, or take a boat trip through the pink-sand islands scattered throughout La Maddalena archipelago. End your day by catching a sunset back at the hotel’s outdoor terrace, raised above the rocks for optimum views.
Why we love L'Ea Bianca Luxury Resort
-
This charming resort has the best of both worlds - it's perfect for rest and relaxation yet has an abundance of land and sea based activities for thrill seekers.
-

-
Overlooking the sea and the hazy specks of La Maddalena beyond, request a candlelit dinner-for-two at The Roof.
-
Using products made from Sardinian botanicals and Mediterranean oils, enjoy some well-deserved pampering in the Recrea Spa.

Physically this hotel is lovely. The view and the pool setup is gorgeous! The restaurant is, at best mediocre. A young woman from Slovakia waited on us and she was lovely. Smiling and happy! Our suite was nice, great view comfortable seating. Room service breakfast is good and served soooo quickly! Now for the reason it only got 3 stars… this could be mistaken for a funeral home. When we arrived the manat the front desk, Andrea dis not greet us pleasantly at all. He had an unhappy look and never once looked at us as we entered or left with a smile and a greeting. He is an unpleasant person who has the wrong job! Should be back of the house. Also avoid the spa! They don’t have a proper massage table and my husbands back hurt more after the massage than before! Bartender was pleasant!

We had a magical stay at L’ea Bianca. The rooms, grounds, and facilities are beautiful. Each room has a balcony and sea view. The pool is lovely and there are ample places to get sun in a chez, in the outdoor couch area, or in one of the many lounge chairs throughout the lawn. To me, however, it was the staff who truly made the experience so magical. At every turn, each staff member is delighted to greet you and help in whatever way they can. A heartfelt smile and “bongiorno!” or “Bona sera!” go a long way towards making a guest feel welcomed and attended to - and each and every staff member succeeded in this. Giovanni and Zuzana (and colleagues) were always so friendly in the morning when they would ask for our coffee orders and generally take care of us during breakfast. Lido the lifeguard, while providing wonderful service (and good banter) by the pool, also provided great local beach recommendations when we decided to go off campus for a day of sun (to be clear, the pool is wonderful with ample lounge chairs and lots of sun!). Luca took wonderful care of us anytime we ordered drinks or snacks at the bar and always so thoughtfully asked how our day was going. Giovanni at the front desk so kindly offered to call a number of restaurants (that he helped recommend - all of which were wonderful and none of which were tourist traps) to make reservations as we were on data-only plans. And Cristina helped to recommend the best day (don’t forget to check the weather!) and way to sail about the Maddalena archipelago - which ended up being the most magical day of our trip. Of note : Yes, I am a friendly person. But to be on a first-name basis with 6 different members of the hotel staff after only a few days is a testament to the personal care and attention that we received from the staff during our stay. Each room has a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and the sea beyond. When not at the pool, beach, beach restaurant, lounge sun couches, or beautiful bar, we enjoyed having a beverage and reading a book and enjoying the lovely view. It felt like each time we returned to our room, the staff had thoughtfully made it up - beds made, towels changed, or perhaps a fresh new bottle of water by the bedside. And, they somehow did this without ever interrupting us. We are so grateful to L’ea Bianca and their staff for making our week in Costa Smeralda so wonderful. We will be back!

This is our second visit to Sardinia. This time we stayed in this hotel. It should be noted that Sardinia has its own specific rules and conditions in hotels. Almost everywhere they are the same. Тhe hotel itself is very green. service at a high level. Both the reception and room service responded promptly to all our requests. I especially want to mention Gianni, the reservations manager. Unfortunately, I don’t know and remember the names of all the employees, but everyone did their job wonderfully! Now about the hotel itself - the breakfast is sufficient, but not quite like in a 5-star hotel. What surprised me - the entrance to the spa area is paid. In other words, if not the sea, then there is nothing else to do in the hotel. No sports entertainment. You are unlikely to see all this in a 5-star hotel on the mainland. But I repeat - this is a common standard in hotels in Sardinia. Now about the sea - the sea is pleasant, the lagoon, the water and the beach are clean. Sea entrance is fine. Not too much stones. What I liked is that there are no strangers from the street. Only hotel guests. Perhaps we were not at the peak of the season. I can not say. However, the sand on the shore is not snow-white, like on the Costa Smeralda coast. There is no bar or cafe on the shore. Otherwise, and in general, I liked the hotel. The location of the hotel is excellent. All the main places are not far away. Of course, provided that you have a car.
