A hit for all the family, this newcomer to the north coast offers an enticing combo of fun facilities, impeccable service and a top-notch location.
This resort is a real box ticker. A swish décor and adults-only rooftop complete with pool, bar and glistening Mediterranean vistas, make it a dream for romantic getaways. But it’s equally great for families too, with a waterpark and kids’ club leaving the little ones just as impressed. Whilst they’re shooting down slides, soothe your skin in the spa, laze back on a lounger or clink cocktails in the bar. Dining-wise, it’s pretty impressive with a wide range of eateries to cover every craving. As for location, it couldn’t get much better. On one side you’ve got the waters of a rocky bay and on the other, the town centre where streets brim with restaurants and bars.

There are 600 rooms featuring a stylish modern décor and all the amenities you need. All rooms come with a balcony and a stunning view, whether that’s inland or of the ocean. When it comes to deciding between Comfort or Deluxe, the latter are located higher up so tend to have better views. For those travelling with little ones, the Family Rooms have all the space you could want and more. Meanwhile the suites are perfect for special stays. With its private terrace and hot tub overlooking the Med, the swanky Deluxe Suite has to be our favourite.

For fun with the whole gang, go to Luzzu, a family-friendly spot with picture-perfect views. Or if you fancy some ‘us time’, head to the rooftop where the ocean provides the perfect backdrop to Minoa’s mouth-watering Mediterranean delights.

When you’re not relaxing by the pool, you can relax in the spa where ancient traditions and contemporary techniques intertwine. Here you can indulge in a range of tailored treatments, from facials to massages and more. Or if you prefer to keep active, there’s also a fitness centre for free weights and cardio sessions.
There are two pools for the grown-ups, including a swanky infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The main pool also comes with a bar for those refreshing cocktail breaks. There’s also a kid’s pool and waterpark for the younger ones.
AX Odycy has plenty of sustainable policies in place, with a desire to set a new standard for eco-conscious and sustainable hospitality in Malta. Just some of their initiatives include swapping plastic bottles for refillable jugs, single-use bathroom amenities for refillable dispensers and single-use laundry bags for reusable eco-friendly ones. They’ve also got a waste management policy in place and they actively promote recycling.
Families are well catered for here, with Family and Quad rooms providing the perfect base for your trip. As for meals, family-friendly restaurants will please even the fussiest of eaters. A kid’s club is also on hand with daily programmes to keep them entertained. Or if they’re a bit of a thrill-seeker, there’s a waterpark and paddle pool too.
