The pampering starts from the word go. At Bayou Villas, you’re welcomed with a glass of chilled champagne, then a buggy whisks you to your luxurious villa.
With just 24 beautifully appointed villas, there’s an exclusive feel here, but with all the advantages of being attached to the Lara Barut Collection resort next door, where you can use all the facilities, including a spa and waterpark. While you’ve got your own private pool, if you fancy a beach day, this isn’t the type of place where you reserve a sunbed with a book. Here, every villa has its own private pavilion on the sand. And the beach refreshments are on point: cookies and coffee first thing, ice cream for elevenses, a cold towel service mid-afternoon, followed by homemade lemonade. And just as the sun begins to fade, listen for corks popping, marking the start of a sparkling wine service.

They vary in size, but all have a heated private pool to call their own and direct access to the shared freshwater lagoon. You’ll have a fully equipped kitchen, but no one’s judging if you don’t use it for anything more than pouring yourself a glass of wine. Style-wise, expect curving lines, designer lighting, and a residential feel – these villas have every convenience you’d expect in a home-from-home.
Set across a single storey, the one-bedroom villas embrace indoor/outdoor living, with an al fresco living space that, size-wise, rivals the indoor space. A deck with sunbeds sits over the lagoon, and the bedroom, with its super king-sized bed, opens out onto the private pool. The bathroom is a design masterpiece with a standalone tub and dual vanity. A kitchen, dining area, and cloakroom complete the floorplan.

A perfect option for four guests, the two-bedroom villas feature a primary bedroom on the first floor, complete with a dressing area and en suite. Downstairs, there’s a second bedroom with a bathroom, the main living areas, a swimming pool, and lagoon access. Eating out is a real treat here. There’s something for every mood and occasion. Villa guests have exclusive access to an à la carte restaurant, plus a bar and lounge, but you can also access 13 restaurants and seven bars at the Lara Barut Collection next door, with choices ranging from à la carte seafood and Mediterranean restaurants to a wide-ranging buffet. There’s also a snack bar and burger house for quick bites and a patisserie for a sensational selection of handmade chocolates and ice cream.

The two-, three-, and four-bedroom villas have massage rooms, saunas, steam rooms, and a gym with a treadmill, bike, and weights. The Lara Barut Collection has a separate spa and fitness centre. Reformer Pilates and yoga are also available.
There’s a fantastic waterpark here providing hours of fun for the whole family. It's complemented by six swimming pools, where you’ll find adults-only options and those designed with children and babies in mind. Then there’s the beach, with plenty of loungers, although villas have a reserved beach pavilion.
The main resort offers free yoga classes, three tennis courts (with complimentary rackets and balls), and aqua gym classes. Squash, beach volleyball, archery, air rifles, badminton, table tennis, boccia, darts, basketball, and mini golf round off the comprehensive selection of activities.
There are four children and teens clubs – all free to access. Bary Star is for babies from newborns to three years old, and the main kids’ club is split into two age categories: 4-8 and 8-12. They’ll have access to a mini football field, outdoor activity area, games room, and movie theatre. Activities range from farm tours to kite activities and face painting. The LOL Club is for 13-18-year-olds with table football, karaoke, and foam parties to look out for.
There is a large, shady children’s playground on the beach and another within the main resort.
