Sunis Efes Royal Palace Resort & Spa

A fun-loving family resort

Prepare to be entertained from start to finish at this lively beachfront resort, where you’ll find waterslides, shows, and restaurants galore.

If you’re looking for an all-inclusive resort that the whole family will enjoy, the Royal Palace could be just the place. It’s no overstatement to say there really is something for everyone here. There’s a kids club so they can make some buddies on holiday, but there’s lots to get involved with altogether as a family, too – whizzing down the waterslides and friendly poolside competitions, for starters. And if you consider yourself more of a beach person, you’ll love the swathe of golden sand here with water sports available if you fancy upping the tempo.

Why we love Sunis Efes Royal Palace Resort & Spa

  • The overseas cabanas on the resort’s pier are a novel way of enjoying the Aegean Sea, with refreshments delivered to your sunbed.

  • The high-energy entertainment centres around the pool by day and on stage at night with live music and discos.

  • There’s a superb selection of restaurants, from a wide-ranging buffet to a la carte venues if you fancy sitting back and relaxing in the evening.

  • The waterslides are firm favourite with families, although there’s also a Blue Flag beach where you can get involved with some water sports.

Aura Spa is on hand to soothe away stresses with massage therapies before a few gentle lengths of the indoor pool. You could also try a traditional Turkish hammam.

There’s something going on all day, whether that’s beach volleyball, competitions, or table tennis, and there’s family-orientated entertainment every night. There are lots of swimming pools crossed by bridges, and you’ll find water slides splashing into some of the more child-orientated pools.

A selection of water sports is available on the beach.

It’s a great option for families, not least because it’s all inclusive but the entertainment and facilities here are geared around kids having fun – activities, waterslides, and even a kid-friendly section in the buffet. Add in the well-thought-out family rooms and it’s easy to see why families return to this resort.

Babies and tots aren’t forgotten either. There’s a colourful playroom for babies and pre-schoolers with handy facilities like a bottle steriliser. You can also get nutritious baby food.

A kids club for 4-12-year-olds offers dance lessons and face painting, plus lots of organised sports competitions.

The water park is open from 10am to midday and 2pm to 4pm from mid-May to mid-October depending on weather conditions; selected facilities such as the pier and mini club are seasonal.
