Samode Safari Lodge, Bandhavgarh National Park
Paying homage to the tribes of Bandhavgarh
This award-winning and luxurious lodge, is set in a remote area bordering Bandhavgarh National Park.
Samode Safari Lodge commands a privileged location on the quieter edges of Bandhavgarh National Park, the best place to spot India’s Bengal tigers. Pathways wind through the tall grass and buildings blend seamlessly into the wilderness. Within the grounds you’ll find four-poster daybeds, an infinity pool and a pampering spa. The communal lounge, exquisitely canopied with rough-hewn log, consists of hand-woven rugs, flickering stone fireplaces and French doors that open up to forest panoramas. During the day, explore the jungle in an open-top Jeep scouring for tigers and picnicking underneath the mahua trees. The lodge is unfenced so you may also encounter wildlife in the grounds.

Unique experiences
Cycling from Samode Safari Lodge
Enjoy a bicycle ride along the grassy perimeters of Bandhavgarh National Park. Pedalling through you’ll see a forest alive with the noise and flitting of many, many birds. The rural track trails through sal trees. You won’t enter the park itself but occasionally you might still spot some of its wildlife.
Tribal Village Tour (from Samode Safari Lodge)
There are many walks that you can take from Samode Safari Lodge but one of the most popular is a walk to the local village. It will help you understand the dynamics of the neighbouring tribe - its history, culture and lifestyle. You’ll get to learn about the different hierarchies within the community and the fascinating way they’ve built their village.

At the pool you'll also find the spa. There are individual and couples treatment rooms and the therapies will leave you rejuvenated.
Morning and afternoon game drives are offered six days a week into Bandhavgarh National Park. You can take a nature walk or cycle through the trails around the lodge.
