Windermere Estate is set on a picturesque 55-acre coffee and cardamon estate, close to the town of Munnar.

Surrounded by butterfly-filled gardens, Windermere is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Wake to the sound of the Malabar whistling thrush, just one of the 300 species found in the Munnar region. Look out for giant squirrels, see how cardamom grows and enjoy the sounds of the babbling streams as you explore the hidden pathways with a naturalist guide.

For a wonderful view of the estate and surrounding countryside, a hike to the summit of the 70-foot boulder is worth the effort, particularly at sunrise or sunset.

Meals are served in The Barn, with the chef hand-picking ingredients from the estate and local markets to create menus influenced by what’s in season.

Guests can go tea tasting, learn the art of Keralan cooking with the chef, go trekking through the plantation and enjoy a bonfire evening under the giant boulder.

Due to state regulations, Windermere Estate are unable to serve alcohol, however guests can enjoy their own drinks in the privacy of their room.
