The Savoy was built in 1829 initially as a school before becoming a hotel. The atmosphere is so authentic you could easily believe you’ve stepped back in time almost 200 years. It has a wonderful hillside location set in six acres of flower-filled gardens. Afternoon high tea is served with organic Niligri teas overlooking the croquet lawn. You can learn the art of making the perfect cuppa with a mixology session with a tea connoisseur and how it is best paired with tea leaf fritters. Despite being a heritage property, Savoy offers a range of facilities for the traveller including a Jiva Spa and fitness centre.

The Dining Room is full of old-world charm and offers Anglo-Indian cuisine as well as traditional Badaga meals of chicken curries served with millet flatbreads and afterwards settle by the fire with a single malt.
Be pampered from head to toe at the Jiva Spa. Treatments include the Trupti which starts with an Indian head massage followed by a back and foot massage. Ingredients used include coconut and masala spices.
Take a guided tea-tasting session to discover some of the amazing teas from the plantations or board the famous UNESCO-listed Nilgiri Mountain Railway ‘toy train'.
