Tucked away in forested folds, there’s an incredible sense of calm at Goatfell. With just four bedrooms, this is as boutique as it gets, too.
When you arrive at Goatfell, there’s a feeling that you’re a special guest in someone’s home. After all, there’s space for just eight lucky guests here, and as it’s all inclusive, all food and drink are included in the cost of your stay. The setting and view steal the show, but that’s not to say that the contemporary rooms aren’t worth a mention – they feel refined and elegant, curated with antique and modern touches. And, of course, there’s the excellent service – it's personable and hospitable, as you might expect with so few guests to pamper.
Why we love Goatfell
-
The small infinity pool couldn’t be more perfectly positioned for the sensational views across Sri Lanka’s verdant Hill Country, 2,000 metres above sea level
-
A twin room can be connected to a double to create a family suite if you’re travelling with children. Cots can be added to the Concordia rooms, too
-
The rooms are classic yet contemporary and homely yet special, with curated antique touches
-
Goatfell is in a perfect spot for exploring everything the Hill Country offers, from walks to waterfalls to touring the local tea factories. You can also learn to rustle up Sri Lankan curries under the expert guidance of Goatfell’s chef
Rooms
The four inviting bedrooms feature thoughtfully selected antiques and bespoke modern furnishings. They lead to garden verandas with beautiful views of the nearby hills and tea plantations. For cooler evenings, all rooms have heaters, cosy rugs, soft blankets, and toasty hot water bottles.
Facilities
Meals are served on the terrace if the weather allows or in the cosy dining room. Don’t miss breakfast at the viewpoint when the skies are clear – it’s close to the pool and a sensational spot to start the day. All your meals are included during your stay at Goatfell, and the ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible, including from Goatfell’s own veggie patch and nearby markets.
What's Included
All Inclusive • Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner • Selected soft drinks, beers, and house wine, gin, vodka, whiskeys and arracks with mixers • Tea and coffee throughout the day • $50 dollar credit per room per stay which can be used towards a visit to a local tea factory or a cookery demonstration
