History in HD Walking Tour

Admire some of the most famous historical sites in the US and learn about the cit's recent cultural renaissance. Begin by travelling back to the time of the nation's founding, as you weave your way through Independence National Park, past Independence Hall, the site of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution, Congress Hall, and Old City Hall. Pass the Liberty Bell and hear about why this iconic symbol has become so famous all around the world before visiting the President's House Site, home to George Washington during Philadelphi's tenure as US capital. Stroll down Independence Mall past the National Constitution Center, the Bourse and the U.S. Mint. Enter the Old City neighbourhood, and pass some of the city's trendiest pubs, clubs, cafes and shops as well as some fantastic industrial architecture. Here, enjoy a brief stop at the Old City Coffee shop so you can grab a quick snack and a coffee. From here we'll head on to the Betsy Rossican Flag, before weaving our way through the charming back alleys of Old City, one of the oldest continuously occupied residential areas in the country. Before the tour comes to an end, enter Christ Church where you'll hear stories of the founding fathers and learn all about the birth of the Episcopal Church in America. The tour will end at a local bar or restaurant where you can enjoy a craft beer brewed in-house, or a soft-drink if you prefer and say 'cheers' to the beautiful city.

Italian Market Immersion Walking Tour

Mix and mingle with the cheery Italian-American community of Philadelphia on this visit to 9th Street's very own Italian Market. The market was created and brought to life by the Italian community that immigrated to the States at the turn of the 20th Century. Begin your day at the corner of 9th and South Street. From there, you'll head through the Bella Vista neighbourhood to the marketplace. Explore tiny streets and mosaic art, swing by a historic deli, duck into a tempting bakery, and stroll along Christian Street before your senses come alive at the famous Italian Market. The 9th Street Italian Market is one of the very oldest neighbourhoods not only in Philadelphia, but in the whole of the United States. Inside, sellers holler their offers while locals and tourists haggle with vendors. As you meander around the various stalls, take in the sounds, aromas, flavours, and stories.
