Three Day Sepilok Orangutan Encounter

Embark on a wildlife adventure to see some of Borneo's most spectacular species. As an extension of the two day tour, there is no time wasted with a trek through Borneo's diverse habitats on the first evening. This sets you up for the main attraction the following day, the Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre, where you can get to know the Orangutans that are currently being cared for by the team. The tour is not over before you get to witness the sun bears and the proboscis monkeys.

Day 1

Arrival in Sepilok

Get up bright and early for a short flight to Sandakan and a transfer to Sepilok. The adventure starts on the first evening when you will embark on a nighttime walk with the Rainforest Discovery Centre. If luck's on your side you might spot Bornean Tarsier or Slow Loris, arguably some of the most mysterious primates of Sabah. Head back to the hotel for a sleep ready for the next wildlife adventure.

Day 2

Sepilok

You will be picked up and taken to Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre to observe man's closest relative. Engage with the Orangutan's at feeding time and take a walk around their natural habitat in the surrounding area. You'll also visit the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, where you can witness the hard work that the team does to ensure the sun bears are rehabilitated so they can be released into a monitored forest for more freedom. Your final stop of the day is Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, which is immersed in the mangrove forest; here you can admire the cheeky species as they leap from tree to tree. Afterwards, transfer to the resort for dinner and an overnight stay at Borneo Sepilok Rainforest Lodge.

Day 3

Back to Kota Kinabalu

There's the chance to enjoy some leisure time before your transfer to the airport.
