Bangkok, Chiang Mai & Koh Samui

There's three sides to this Thailand tale: two city stays and some beach bliss on a sun-kissed isle. Following a few frenetic days in Bangkok eating, temple hopping and market exploring, head north to Chiang Mai a sacred city surrounded by rolling hills. Then it's time to do tone down the adventure and just chill on Koh Samui's sandy shores.
Itinerary overview
Bangkok
Buzzing capital
City stop one on this trio-stop holiday is Bangkok, a city that's thriving, chaotic and mesmerising in equal measure. Explore temples, palaces and floating by day and visit night markets, bars and restaurants when the sun goes down.

Chiang Mai
Cultural heartland
Head north to Chiang Mai, a city packed with temples and surrounded by spectacular scenery. It's less frenetic than the capital but no less fascinating; you can divide your time between dipping into teak temples, finding some of the best eateries and street food stalls in the country, and seeing a side of rural Thailand with day trips out of town.

Koh Samui
Beach bliss
After two city stays, it's time to chill out, Thai island style. The final stop is ever-popular Koh Samui where you can be as lively or lazy as you want. If you haven't had your fill of temples yet, there are plenty on the island to visit, as well as more more natural wonders like waterfalls and the Ang Thong National Marina Park.
