A hillside hideaway with picture-perfect views, ocean-view dining and a focus on wellbeing.
This upscale eco sanctuary has magnificent sea views from its quiet pocket on Koh Samui. Its buildings are embedded into the cliffside around huge beach boulders, where pool villas float over the water’s edge and dinner tables are perfectly angled for oceanside date nights. Silavadee’s activity programme is refreshingly different, taking on a wellness spin with sessions in pranayama (ocean breathing), origami and temple visits to make merit with monks. The resort’s location means you’re just a short drive from Chaweng and Lamai but tucked away from the busy main beach on a mini peninsula. Bask in the peaceful quiet of the almost-secret beach a few steps from the resort or hop on a bicycle and explore the neighbourhood.

There is no doubt this is a beautiful hotel, in fantastic surroundings with great staff. Our stay at Silavadee Koh Samui was to be a relaxing final 4 nights of our 2 week trip to Thailand, we’ve already been to Bangkok, Koh Yao island and Phuket. All hotel stays had been really good, so our expectations were set high for Silavadee. Overwhelming positive stay which made this a very chill and relaxing end to our holiday. We stayed in a two bedroom Ocean front duplex pool villa. Some standout positives of this Hotel:- Superb private transfers from airport. Very personal and attentive welcoming to the resort with a fabulous cooling drink and golf cart transfers for us and luggage to the rooms. Rooms were excellent, private infinity pool access wonderful and view over the sea just amazing, day and night. Food is fantastic; not only is there a great buffet breakfast of fresh fruit, cereals and Asian delights but also an extensive menu to order fresh coffees, smoothies and cooked breakfast. We ate a few times for lunch and dinner in the hotel, everything we had was delicious. But the standout was the staff; everyone is so friendly, professional and helpful; in particular we had some impeccable service from Dear who is a credit to the hotel and her college (believe she was on a placement), Khop Khun Krap. Some areas which weren’t so good which didn’t impact our stay but thought a hotel of this standard could’ve done better at:- The private beach; Maybe the weather was poor the time we visited, the waves were pretty strong, red flag was out and we couldn’t do any water sports, but we noticed that parts of the beach and rocks surrounding had a lot of plastic waste washed up. Maybe this is a general problem throughout Thailand, but we thought the hotel could have had someone out trying to keep on top of this? The beach did get a good spruce up on the morning of a private wedding, and then closed the beach to guests for the late afternoon. The much-publicised Star bar and restaurant was unavailable for us to book due to the aforementioned private wedding function. In fairness, the hotel put on additional free courtesy bus to Lamai, but this closure for a private party wasn’t mentioned at check in, so we felt abit disappointed that we were not be able to dine at Star for our last night. Overall, excellent stay, lovely location, staff are brilliant!

We have just finished our stay at silvadee it was really such a lovely experience from start to finish. The hotel organised a pick up from the airport with a lovely car and cold water which was much needed after 3 flights and travelling for 24hours When we arrived check in was fast and efficient and we were brought to our villa. Villa number 4. This villa was beyond our expectations. The pool was almost as big as the main pool and the villa consisted of two different villas in one which slept up to 4 people. Water was provided daily along with some nice treats at turndown. The villa was spotless of course the wood could do with a freshen up but with changeable weather conditions in Thailand this is understandable. We loved this villa and did not want to leave. The cleaners were so kind and on the ball. The breakfast was amazing a la cart nothing was too much to ask for. It was so lovely and fresh and nothing was too much to ask for. We had dinner in the height restaurant and sun both really lovely. We had lunch also twice during our stay and it was to the same high standards. The spa was amazing one of the best I’ve been to. Free shuttle bus transfers several times a day to/from Lamai and chaweng. The one and only thing I would say was missing was a good bar area. You could go for drinks but it was more so in the restaurant area. Overall 10/10 would highly recommend. Thank you to all the staff for your hard work and kindness.
