Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa captures the rustic-luxe feel of this mountainous isle, bringing you a mix of beach escapism and jungle wilderness. Tear yourself away from the pool or private bay and you could visit a local pepper plantation or learn how to rustle up a tasty Vietnamese dish with a cooking class hosted by one of the resort’s chefs. A lot of thought has been put into the architecture, design and day to day running of this sustainable resort. Throughout the building process, wooden materials were locally sourced and up to 50% of what was leftover was then recycled to make furniture. Now, hot water is heated by solar power, its composting system reduces restaurant food waste, and single-use plastics have been replaced by eco-friendly alternatives wherever possible – from water bottles to in-room amenities.
