Universal Endless Summer Resort - Dockside Inn & Suites

Bright and breezy

Although this is one of Universal Orlando’s more affordable hotels, some design features help make it feel special, with high ceilings and chic décor.

The Dockside Inn & Suites forms over half of the Universal Endless Summer Resort, complementing the Surfside Inn & Suites. If you’re trying to decide between the two, it’s helpful to know that Dockside is larger and has two pools and a splash zone. There are subtle differences in the theme, and some might prefer an oh-so-slightly quieter ambience at Surfside. Either way, they both offer the same coveted two-bedroom suites, which are great for families who want to share a single space rather than book interconnecting rooms.

Why we love Universal Endless Summer Resort - Dockside Inn & Suites

  • Around half of the 2,000 or so rooms are two-bedroom suites that sleep up to six thanks to a sofa bed in one of the rooms. We also love them for families of four, with parents in one room and the kids in another. It just gives everyone a little bit more space.

  • The rooms, while simple, are well-designed and feel soothing, thanks to a duck egg colour palette, surf-chic styling, and sunset prints. Their unusually high ceilings also make them feel bigger and brighter.

  • This is an official Universal Orlando hotel, so you’ll enjoy some great perks, including early access to the theme parks and the handy ability to charge food and merchandise purchased in the park to your room. Complimentary buses will shuttle you to and from the theme parks.

  • There are two swimming pools here and a splash pad that’s perfect for smaller children. Look out for poolside games and activities – a schedule is available at the front desk.
