Disney's All-Star Movies Resort

Modest and playful

You can’t escape the Disney magic here. It’s the perfect choice for a full Walt Disney World immersion.

Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort is a fabulously themed hotel with beloved characters at every turn, from the cast of Toy Story to the pups of 101 Dalmatians. As one of Disney’s ‘value’ resorts, expect pared-back, simple rooms designed for families intending to spend far more time in the parks and pools than hanging out in the guest rooms. It’s easy to reach the parks using the complimentary bus system, and for those moments of downtime, you’ll find two large swimming pools and a handy food court for quick bites.

Why we love Disney's All-Star Movies Resort

  • Add this hotel to your shortlist if you don’t want to spend a lot on accommodation but still want the perks of staying at a Walt Disney World hotel, such as early theme park entry and access to Disney dining plans.

  • There are two large swimming pools, a playground and arcade, a vast cinema-themed food hall, and magical moments to discover, such as Movies Under the Stars and campfire activities.

  • Buses depart regularly throughout the day to shuttle you to the parks. The closest are Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is also nearby.

  • There is a shop selling merchandise, but it’s also a handy place to pick up snacks and drinks before a day in the parks. Small fridges in the rooms keep drinks chilled.

There isn’t a table service restaurant here. Instead, things are much more casual. A food court style restaurant serves all types of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can pick up refreshments by the pool, too.

World Premiere Food Court
The cinema-themed food court has all bases covered at all times of the day. Start your day with a hot breakfast (including those famous Mickey-shaped waffles), and it’s a perfect place to pick up a stir-fry sandwich, burger, hot dog, pizza, pasta, and sweet treats for lunch or dinner.

Silver Screen Spirits Pool Bar
Serves beer and cocktails alongside a small menu of snacks and sandwiches.

Whats Included

Room only

Take a circuit around the mile-long jogging trail. There isn’t a gym, but you’re bound to keep your step count high if you plan long days at the theme parks.

The Fantasia pool features a Sorcerer Mickey fountain and a water play area for small children. The Duck Pond Pool is a little more relaxing, designed to resemble an ice hockey rink (which will make sense if you’ve seen The Mighty Ducks movie). If you want water slides, you’ll have to consider other Disney hotels but remember there are two Disney water parks to try, too.

This is a resort geared toward families. The rooms are well-suited for families of four, although connecting rooms can be requested if there are more of you.

If your kids have any energy left, a playground is close to the Toy Story section. Older kids might enjoy playing video games and pinball machines in the hotel’s arcade. For family moments together, complimentary screenings of Disney movies are held at 8 p.m. on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays (check when you arrive in case of any schedule changes). You’ll find the screening area outside the food court.

Toast marshmallows over the fire between 6pm and 7pm. Just head to the Fantasia Pool, and you’ll find the campsite between buildings five and eight.
