Disney's Yacht Club Resort
Ahoy there, adventurer!
After fun-filled days in the parks, retreat to this oversized New England beach house for a stay inspired by the nautical charms of the USA’s East Coast.
With two Walt Disney World theme parks within walking distance and a network of other transportation options at your fingertips, it’s easy to see why Disney’s Yacht Club is a sought-after hotel in Walt Disney World. Overlooking Crescent Lake and with the restaurants of Disney’s BoardWalk nearby, this is undoubtedly a prime location. The rooms have a luxurious feel, with hardwood floors and plush furnishings and have a slightly more formal feel than the neighbouring Disney’s Beach Club Resort, with which it shares restaurants and a three-acre water park. Stormalong Bay features a gentle-entry sand-bottom pool, lazy river, and slides. And when everyone’s exhausted from all the fun, a retro ice cream parlour stands by with sugar-laden treats to give everyone a boost.
Why we love Disney's Yacht Club Resort
-
The Disney parks open 30 minutes early and have extended evening hours just for guests of Disney Deluxe Resorts, like this one.
-
The transport options to get you to the park are excellent. Catching a boat to Disney’s Hollywood Studios or the Disney Skyliner to EPCOT makes getting there part of the fun. A complimentary bus takes you to and from Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
-
There are plenty of family activities, from organised games around the pool to toasting marshmallows around a campfire and complimentary Movies Under the Stars.
-
The vast pool complex is a winner on hot Florida days. It has a sandy beach that gently slopes into the water, slides, and a lazy river, too. You can rent a cabana to make a day of it.
Rooms
The rooms feel more contemporary than other options in Walt Disney World, with understated Disney theming, an elegantly nautical palette, and hardwood floors. If you opt for a room without club-level benefits, you can choose a resort view or a water view – the rooms are otherwise the same and sleep up to five adults. Upgrading to Club Level Service gives you access to the exclusive Regatta Club with complimentary breakfast, snacks, and refreshments.
Facilities
This is a big hotel with a choice of restaurants to match, shared with the neighbouring Disney’s Beach Club Resort. They've thought of everything, from a top steakhouse to market-style cafes, a buffet, a poolside grill, and an ice cream parlour. The market-style venues are handy for stocking up on snacks ahead of days in the parks or grabbing coffee and breakfast to take with you. Within a ten-minute walk around Crescent Lake, there are more dining options at Disney’s BoardWalk and more choices within EPCOT.
Cape May Café

The Market at Ale & Compass
This grab-and-go option is ideal for a quick breakfast or picking up snacks for the day ahead.

Steaks and seafood are cooked in an open kitchen in this formal restaurant.
