Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa
This resort has recently been renovated and has a modern and fresh style, a network of pools and a fantastic setting.
This popular spot is the place to head if you want the typical Hawaiian resort experience – complete with plenty of things to do if you stay on site. However, we highly recommend getting out and about and this is a great base for exploring the island. Following busy days you can return and relax by the swimming pools – one of which is for children and has a partially sandy floor – in the hot tub or at the Mandara Spa where are host of treatments and therapies are available. The Waikoloa Golf Club is next door and you can play either of the two championship courses here for a fee. If you want to learn a little more about the culture of the region, make the most of the Hawaiian activities offer which include lei making classes, ukulele lessons and a tour to the nearby petroglyphs.
Facilities
The resort's open-all-day restaurant, Hawaii Calls, has an open-air dining room and terrace where you can dine al fresco. The focus is on local fare with fresh sea food, farm-reared grilled meats and a handful of vegetarian dishes on the menu. There are themed nights throughout the week and dishes are perfectly complemented by tropical cocktails and wines from around the world.
It is standard practice for resorts/hotels within the USA to charge a mandatory resort fee which is payable locally.
This fee can be anywhere between 5USD to 40 USD per room per night and is not included in the cost of your Kuoni holiday.
