Silversands Grenada

A white sand escape into modern minimalism

Sleek design, slick service and a stylish pool that almost reaches the sea. Silversands is a hip newcomer on the Grenada beach scene.

The chic Silversands Grenada brings a slice of 21st Century design to the more traditional portfolio of Spice Isle resorts. It’s more minimalist Med or new-age Nordic than classic Caribbean with statement yet simple architecture; it’s all clean lines and cubist with a cool natural palette that only adds to the stunning setting at the north end of Grande Anse beach. The resort’s centrepiece is the ribbon-like pool that draws your eyes down to the sea and is framed by inviting four-poster day beds and palm trees. And at the end of the island’s longest pool, you have the island’s most popular – and one of its most beautiful – beaches, Grand Anse. The resort sits at the northern reaches of the sweeping sand so is quieter but within easy reach of the rustic beach bars, craft stalls and restaurants. Aside from the exceptional setting, the service here is something to write home about. It’s wonderfully genuine and attentive and the staff are always smiling and have a great attention to detail.

Why we love Silversands Grenada

  • The 100-metre saltwater pool is the longest in the Caribbean.

  • You’re at the quieter and more private northern end of iconic Grand Ane Beach.

  • The spa is something special with a private pool, complementary yoga and quartz bed therapies.

  • Cool and contemporary design feels more like a chic friend’s beach home than a resort.

From relaxed lunches on the beach at the Grenadian Grill to spice-infused dishes for dinner at Asiatique, Silversands has a range of dining experiences. At the weekend, head to the Beach Lounge where live music fills the sea air in the evenings.

Asiatique
Open for dinner, Asiatique's menu is distinctly Thai enhanced with Grenadian spices.

Grenadian Grill
Enjoy Grenadian and Mediterranean dishes and fresh seafood overlooking the beach. In the evening, local live bands form the entertainment.

Puro
Sourced from throughout the Caribbean, head to Puro lounge to try small batch and limited edition rums.

Beach Lounge
The Beach Lounge is open Friday to Sunday for lunch and dinner. Overlooking the sea, it's a great spot for local produce, freshly caught fish with an extensive wine list to choose from.

There is something quite special eating local seafood whilst overlooking the beach at The Grenadian Grill.

Whats Included

Breakfast at Asiatique • Coffee, tea and drinking water
For Ocean View Junior Suite, One Bedroom Suite, Seaview Pool Villa, Beach Front Pool Villa and Beach Front/Two Bedroom Oceanview Suite guests as above plus • One bottle of wine and non-alcoholic beverages from mini bar

The unfussy but uber-cool design runs through to the resort spa. Shaded spots, inviting beach beds and a refreshing plunge pool meet copious facilities such as an ice cave, an experiential shower and a state-of-the-art fitness centre. Continuing the wellness theme, early morning and early evening yoga sessions are also on offer three days a week free of charge.

Head to Grand Anse market for spices and crafts, journey inland to hike to waterfalls or take high tea at the 100-year-old Tower Estate.

Stretching down to Grand Anse beach, the 100-metre swimming pool is the central feature of the hotel. Watersports are available along the two-mile beach and for divers a trip to the underwater sculpture park can be arranged.

To minimise importing and to reduce the hotel's carbon footprint, much of the fruit and vegetables for the restaurants is sourced from the Grenada Network of Rural Women Producers (GRENROP) with other crops grown on the property.
