Campioni Soccer Academy at Kuramathi Maldives

Exciting news! This summer, it’s game on at Kuramathi Maldives. In partnership with Campioni Soccer Academy, the island is set to host two week-long soccer academies, coached by football legends Harry Redknapp, Stuart Pearce MBE and John Barnes MBE. So, if you were worried your football-loving kids would get restless on an idyllic tropical island, then this should do the trick. 

What’s in store: 

1. Sunday night welcome drinks: Meet the coaches and each child gets their kit, cap, water bottle and bag 
2. Daily coaching sessions: Two hours a day, Monday to Friday (15.30-17.30) with Premier League icons for kids aged 4 to 15. 
3. Mid-week parents’ game 
4. End-of-week medals: a trophy moment for your budding football stars 
5. Evening socials: Parents get the chance to hang out and socialise with their football heroes over drinks

What else is there to do? 

While the kids are bending it like Beckham, Kuramathi’s got plenty to keep the family entertained. The fantastic kids club (ages 3-12) runs daily from 8.30 to 18.30 and has a schedule packed with fun activities (link to page). For underwater explorers, the guided snorkelling safari is a great way to discover the magical marine life or take to the water with sailing, windsurfing and island adventures. 

The choice of accommodation is extensive, from rustic beach cottages (which have room for two kids under 12) to sleek two-bedroom beach villas. And when it’s time to eat, Kuramathi has an incredible nine a la carte restaurants, serving up everything from fresh seafood at the Reef to Italian classics at Palm.
