This stylish hotel offers a warm welcome, amazing food and an excellent beachfront location.
This is a perfect spot for enjoying Sri Lanka’s sunny shores away from the busy beaches. It’s close to the airport, so you can chill out as soon as possible, but it’s also at the quieter end of one of the country’s most popular beaches. You can hop on a tuk-tuk into town and spend some time exploring or just relax at the resort. It’s also great if you want to start off or finish up your tour of Sri Lanka with a beach stay, thanks to its convenient location.
Why we love Jetwing Sea
-
It’s directly on a quieter stretch of Negombo Beach, and there are sea views from all of the rooms and suites
-
In the beautiful rooftop spa, you can enjoy your choice of blissful therapy accompanied by soft breezes and ocean vistas
-
At the resort’s speciality seafood restaurant, you can feast on the barbecued catch of the day with your toes in the sand
-
The short transfer time to and from the airport means you can enjoy your holiday for that little bit longer
Rooms
The hotel has 83 rooms and suites. Deluxe Rooms are spacious and elegant with neutral décor set off by splashes of golden yellow. All of the Deluxe Rooms are located in the North Wing and feature a balcony or terrace overlooking the beach and ocean. There are also Suites which have a four-poster bed and Jacuzzi bath, perfect if you’re looking to treat yourself. While all the rooms come with sea views, the ones from the Suites on the fourth floor are definitely a cut above the rest.
Facilities
With three restaurants and a pool bar, all of which serve food during the day as well as at dinner, there are plenty of options on the dining front. For a special occasion, you can also arrange a private dinner on the sand.
Café C\ The all-day main restaurant overlooks the beach and dining outside on the wide terrace is a must. Whether it’s spicy Sri Lankan curry from the buffet or something from the varied à la carte menu, nothing beats the beautiful sunshine and the gentle breeze out on the terrace.
Lellama\ If you crave fresh seafood and the sand between your toes, Lellama is ideal. Offering the catch of the day cooked out on beach barbecues at lunch and dinner, it’s a little slice of heaven.
Jetty
The relaxed pool bar, open from 8am until midnight, serves a range of local and international spirits along with a choice of snacks and light meals so you don’t have to stray too far from your sun lounger.
Be sure to take time out for a leisurely afternoon tea on the terrace at Café C, featuring the finest Ceylon teas and delicious sweet treats.

The beautiful rooftop spa allows for uninterrupted views of the ocean as you enjoy a range of treatments using both international and local products. You could start off in the steam room, follow that with a sandalwood and turmeric honey wrap, say, before giving your feet a treat at the reflexology bar.
The light-filled seaside fitness centre is equipped with Cybex cardio and strength-training machines and is open daily from 8am to 9pm. Alternatively, you could enjoy an energetic game of volleyball on the beach.
The professional water sports centre at nearby sister hotel Jetwing Lagoon offers a range of activities, such as windsurfing, canoeing and sailing.
Water is heated by solar panels during the day and a biomass boiler, run on sustainably harvested cinnamon wood, by night. Rainwater from a rooftop collection system is filtered and used in the two swimming pools. The hotel has an organic garden devoted to mainly local varieties of fruit and herbs, which are then used in the kitchen. Along with a number of local hotels, it supports a ward at Negombo Teaching Hospital used by the local community
With no long drive from the airport, plenty to do in and around the hotel and facilities such as babysitting, this is a good choice for a relaxed family beach holiday.
Compulsory Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve gala dinners, supplements apply.
