This romantic boutique hideaway sits in tropical gardens that lead to a secluded beach.
The attention to detail is evident from the moment you’re welcomed in the tranquil lobby at The Sarojin. Set amid a lily pond and immaculate gardens, serenity is exuded throughout this retreat. It’s particularly beautiful at night when hundreds of lights twinkle the way to your room.
Why we love The Sarojin
-
It’s in a wonderfully peaceful setting, with lush tropical gardens that open out to a seven-mile-long sandy beach
-
Dining here is a delight, whether you’re breakfasting by the lotus pond or having a candlelit meal on your own private sand isle
-
The award-winning spa is a haven within a haven, where you can be pampered to a soothing soundtrack of birdsong and the waves
-
When you want to get moving, there are sea kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, dinghies and mountain bikes for your use
Rooms
Each of the 56 rooms is named after a long-standing staff member. Set in the lush gardens, they are peaceful and contemporary, with beautiful bathrooms that have a clever indoor/outdoor feel without actually exposing you to the outside. Ground-floor Garden Residences have a terrace and outdoor Thai sala, while Pool Residences have a private pool. The new Jacuzzi Pool Suites are equally spacious and come with luxurious additions like a four-poster king-size bed and a terrace complete with Jacuzzi big enough for four.
Facilities
Dining here is an unforgettable experience. Ingredients are fresh, chefs are passionate and tables are set in extraordinary locations. Breakfast is à la carte, served until 6pm with sparkling wine at the Ficus Restaurant beneath the canopy of an ancient ficus tree. Breezy and chic, The Edge restaurant borders the beach. It has stunning sea views and an organic menu featuring signature Thai delicacies from the Andaman Sea, local markets and the hotel garden. For a more intimate experience, private dining options include secluded spots on the beach, shipwrecked-style on your own private sand isle and, spectacularly, beside a nearby waterfall.
Ficus
Set beneath the ancient canopy of a Ficus tree, this restaurant presents a refined yet relaxed setting beside the hotel's lotus pond and serves all-day breakfasts and contemporary Mediterranean cuisine.
Edge
Named for its beachfront location, the Edge is a great place to sit out and enjoy the view as you savour dishes inspired by South-East Asia.
Beach Bar
This laid-back bar is a lovely spot to sip a cocktail such as the 'Sarogin'.
Wine Bar
A visit to the Wine Bar is a must, with over 200 wines from around the world to choose from.
If you're looking for a romantic evening for two, the private dining experiences here are a must. From 'Shipwrecked in Style' to a 'Candlelit Jungle Waterfall' find yourself in a secluded spot and select a menu to be prepared by your very own private chef.

Looking out across the estuary to a deserted coconut grove and beyond to the Andaman Sea, the Pathways Spa blends ancient physical and spiritual healing. There are four double open-air treatment rooms with rain showers. Choose an aromatic oil for your massage, indulge in a lotus body scrub or soothe sunburnt skin with an aloe vera body wrap.
Yoga and meditation classes add to the wellbeing experience.
Cycle to the pretty Rainbow Falls, around half an hour away, take the hotel shuttle to Bang Niang market, explore Khao Sok National Park or take a long-tail boat ride on Cheow Lan Lake. The hotel offers a number of exciting culinary experiences, including cooking classes, fruit-carving classes and the opportunity to 'catch, cook and dine'.
Guests can take to the water on a sailing Hobie, stand-up paddleboard, sea kayak or windsurf. Dive in the incredible Similan and Surin Marine National Parks (open November to mid-May, closed for conservation during other months) or visit Phang Nga Bay aboard the exclusive Lady Sarojin boat.
'One booking one tree' is one of the Sarojin's sustainability programmes. For every guest that stays they plant a tree which helps restore the reforestation of the mangroves. Through their 'Sarojin Cares' initiatives, the hotel has eliminated plastic bottles and toiletries are in reusable ceramic bottles. They also support the Parent Club of Phang Nga Bay Autistic Persons with employment and education.
There are five golf courses close to the Sarojin and the resort can arrange bookings at each.
Children over 10 are welcome at this hotel.
Minimum stay: 5 nights 26 Dec-01 Jan.
