Travel Kuoni

The Pan Pacific is an unmissable icon on Vancouver’s waterfront.

If you’ve got a thing for sensational views, then Pan Pacific won’t disappoint. From its prime position on the waterfront, vast windows invite ocean and mountain views inside. Its glass building imitates an ocean liner with spectacular views from the guestrooms, three restaurants and outdoor heated pool.

Why we love Pan Pacific Vancouver

  • Fantastic harbour, mountain and city views from its Canada Place setting

  • Explore the city under your own steam by using one of the concierge's recommended jogging routes

  • It's definitely worth upgrading to a room or suite with views of the harbour

  • Enjoy a respite from sightseeing in the rooftop outdoor heated pool or with a treatment in the spa

The biggest reason to stay here is the views and location. Pool and hot tub are really nice. Lots of food and car rental options very nearby and also had easy access to Capilano, Stanley Park and Gastown. We were there when there was no cruise ship docked, which is a plus. (You can look up the cruise terminal schedule and plan around it.)

After a 16 hour long work day we pull up and had a minor parking inconvenience however Ilgar the bellman help us get sorted he was very nice and made our transition into the hotel memorable after a hard day genuinely grateful for the help from him if the rest of the staff is half as pleasant and helpful as him I’m sure you’ll have an amazing stay. Cheers RADO

After 10flight, arriving at 4pm we were made to wait for our room to be ready. We were given vouchers for drinks to wait at a bar while the room was checked, but that served to nothing as there was no seats available at the bar or anywhere else for that matter. As a titanium member we got an upgrade, but the upgrade (not the original booking, I believe) took into an account that we were three people in a need of a bed. We went to the club lounge while waiting to receive the extra bed, which never arrived. After it turned out that it was not possible to have an additional bed and that the shower was broken, we were changed to another room. As it took such a long time and the piccolo did not arrive, we took the luggage there ourselves, and saw that again the extra bed was not made. When we finally had got the bed and got to sleep, I found the room quiet and bed comfortable. The club lounge is not something I would not suggest to pay for, unless you plan to fill yourself with cookies. Breakfast was limited in choices and quality, but sufficient. If travelling for business though, this is not a type of place where to have a leisurely breakfast meetings. The furniture is more a community hall type, and food simply not good enough. We had another stay planned in the hotel but cancelled and booked the old Fairmont in the city centre. Staff was incredibly nice all throughout, but noticeably there were no notes in their files of all the troubles. The furniture and common spaces were in general in a need of a touch up.
